According to ABC News, a customer of the Atomic Grill in West Virigina left a now-deleted review on dining website UrbanSpoon asking that the waitresses “show more skin”.
Restaurant owner Daniel McCawley was upset by the review, calling it “brutish”:
I’m a father of a 12-year-old girl and I’ve got five sisters. The way that women are treated is pretty personal as far as I’m concerned.
McCawley responded by giving the reviewer exactly what they wanted – more skin.
The comment inspired McCawley to offer a potato skin special, with all proceeds up to the 26 May going to a local rape charity.
“We took offence to the review and wanted to flip it a positive way,” McCawley explained. “My Facebook blew up overnight. I really hope it will be a positive thing.”
